Creating Real Content with Your Camera Phone

Creating Real Content with Your Camera Phone

"I find it odd that we are so genius in our realm, and when there's a knowledge section we haven't mastered yet, we are a complete noob! It is so easy to get some views on your business now, and I'm finding that it's usually our own bias about how hard something is that stops us from accomplishing the next step. When you need some views for your business, you can certainly call me for THINK TANKS, but you can also turn on the selfie camera option on your phone instead and talk to "me" on your camera about your business. I'd bet you'd find some good footage you could use to promote your business in reels that would generate a ton of traffic. Talking to me will generate ideas, but you have to step forward somewhere. You can step forward by creating some content and letting Your Marketing team at Facets of Hospitality schedule your social media posts, or you can follow a few steps and DIY. Either way... you have to step forward and push start to get some traffic."

Here are her five tips:

  1. Capture B-Roll Footage:

  • Use your camera phone to capture authentic, behind-the-scenes moments at your spa or salon.

  • Film snippets of daily operations, product displays, or treatments in progress to give viewers a genuine glimpse into your business.

  • Combine these clips to create a dynamic, engaging video that showcases your environment and services.

  1. Incorporate On-Screen Text:

  • Add easy-to-read text overlays to your videos to highlight key points, promotions, or service descriptions.

  • Use text to introduce different segments of your video, making it more structured and informative.

  • Ensure the text is clear and concise, and use contrasting colors to make it stand out against the footage.

  1. Discuss Real Topics:

  • Talk about common questions or concerns your customers have regarding skincare, beauty treatments, or products.

  • Share your professional insights and tips, addressing relevant and valuable topics to your audience.

  • Engage in candid conversations about industry trends or new treatments you’re excited about.

  1. Showcase Customer Testimonials:

  • Record short testimonials from satisfied customers who are willing to share their positive experiences.

  • Highlight the benefits and results they’ve seen from your services, creating a powerful, authentic endorsement.

  • Edit these testimonials into your content to build trust and credibility with potential clients.

  1. Highlight Before-and-After Transformations:

  • Film before-and-after footage of clients who undergo treatments with their permission.

  • Use split-screen effects or transitions to showcase the dramatic improvements and results.

  • Pair these visuals with your expert commentary to explain the process and benefits, making the content informative and compelling.

Now, you have some content you can keep in a folder and post when you're ready.
